During your 4-week project, you will complete a 1,500-word project write-up (±10%). In this, you will explain your project and show how you have met all the criteria outlined in the previous section.
Guidance from your EPAO:
“As a minimum all project reports must include the following sections:
- Project title.
- An introduction.
- The scope of the project (including key performance indicators).
- How the outcomes were achieved.
- Research and findings.
- Project outcomes.
- Conclusions and potential areas for improvement.
- Appendix including evidence of how the project maps to the relevant KSBs for this assessment method. This template includes both standard options and their associated KSBs; delete the other appendices prior to submission.
- A declaration from the employer and the apprentice verifying that the submitted work is that of the apprentice.
Appendices, references, diagrams/charts/images will not be included in this total. To allow for accurate word count checks, all project reports should be submitted in a .docx format.”
Templates for both the written project and the presentation are available here in the Resources section of the PG Learner Hub.
The templates given are optional and you may create your own. However, we strongly advise that you use the given subheadings and the Appendix 1 KSB Map. Please follow the guidelines included in both templates before submission.
Use the headings to guide your description and explanation of the project, but ensure you have covered all the KSB assessment criteria in your project. You can cover the KSBs in whichever section of your project that you feel fits best. When you come to your matrix at the end of your template, ensure that you have clearly mapped where the assessor can find your evidence/explanation for each KSB. Screenshots can be embedded into the project text to support understanding and help evidence your competency of skills and behaviours.
