Learning Outcomes

Personal Outcomes:

  • Understand different disabilities and barriers to learning
  • Understand how technology can close the gap for all learners
  • Understand how SEND support staff can better integrate the use of technology

School Outcomes:

  • Staff will have a working knowledge of a variety of technological communication and inclusion solutions available to them in the classroom.
  • The school will be in a better position to explore how technology / digital solutions can close the gap for learners with disabilities.
  • SEND support staff will be able to make better use of the technology available when supporting students with disabilities or learning needs.

Knowledge:

K14: principles of continuous improvement within the context of the application and use of digital technologies and the benefits
K18: the features and benefits of digital information systems and how these are used to maintain application support.
K20: organisational approaches to incorporating different digital applications across business functions and the implications for their stakeholders.

Skills:
S1: use digital technologies, including collaborative tools, to operate effectively as part of a team and with other stakeholders, enabling sharing of information and best practice.
