Objectives and learning outcomes
Objectives:
By the end of this course, the apprentices should be able to:
- Understand, and be familiar with a range of pedagogical approaches to support the use of Edtech.
- Understand the differences and similarities between the above approaches and use them to consider the appropriate approach for their own context and setting.
- To identify common barriers around the effective implementation of Edtech in the classroom.
- Understand specific strengths and challenges of the pedagogical approaches outlined within the unit.
- Identify specific examples and contexts in which specific pedagogies can be applied.
Learning outcomes:
- Understand the importance of linking the use of technology to pedagogy
- Understanding the key features and principles of a range of pedagogical approaches which link specifically to the use of technology
- To identify strengths and limitations of pedagogical approaches and the contexts in which they might be effectively applied
- To explore models which support the implementation of technology (e.g., SAMR and TIM models)
