How Digital Champions Support Their Team (Support Staff)

As a Support Staff Digital Champion, your role is to help colleagues with basic digital or technical issues that come up in your day-to-day work. Whether you work in the classroom, the office, the kitchen, or around the school site, having the confidence to try simple troubleshooting steps can make a big difference. You’re not expected to solve every problem, but being able to check a few things before passing it on to IT helps keep things running smoothly.

In schools today, technology is part of almost every job — from using systems to log pupil data or manage rotas, to handling equipment or communication. This course will help you build confidence in dealing with everyday tech challenges. It also shows you how to encourage a supportive culture, where people help each other and know when to get further support if needed. By learning basic troubleshooting and how to work with the right teams or software providers, you can help make sure technology supports the school’s work instead of getting in the way.

This course will help you feel more confident as a Digital Champion by showing you how to deal with common tech problems and know where to go for more help. The next sections will give you simple tips and steps you can use in your day-to-day work.
