Collective Technologies and AI-Augmented Education (Three Spires)
Learning in schools rarely happens in isolation. Operational support staff, school leaders and teachers all work across year groups, departments and digital platforms, using shared technologies to stay connected and aligned. As AI becomes more embedded in these tools, it supports each group in different ways - helping support staff streamline administrative and logistical tasks, enabling leaders to identify trends and make informed decisions and giving teachers more time to focus on high quality teaching and meaningful interactions with pupils. When used thoughtfully, the combination of collective technologies and AI promotes more inclusive practice, strengthens collaboration and reduces workload across the whole school community. To realise these benefits, schools must adopt AI responsibly, with a strong focus on ethics, data protection and digital citizenship, ensuring AI enhances professional judgement rather than replacing it.
